Maqz has been tailor-made to fulfil as many of the needs of teachers, teaching assistants and tutors as possible.
As other players get a chance to attempt questions that their opponents fail to answer correctly, it ensures that all students are working and learning throughout the game.
There are a number of different ways to record students’ progress as they are playing the game, especially over the course of a term or year. The customised Progress Charts, downloadable from this site, allow this to be done with the utmost ease and precision. As all questions have their level indicated, it is straightforward to record how many questions a student answers at their target level or the level below, for instance.
The Resources section of this site also offers downloadable Lesson Plans and a Revision Exercise, all based around Maqz. More resources will follow in due course.
Maqz even makes Assessment for Learning simple and effective. The levels for individual questions also mean that students are aware of their future targets and what they have to do to achieve them.
Extra information on these aspects of the game, and much more, is contained in the Teachers’ Guide, which comes as part of the Schools Standard Pack.
